Hotel/Motel Tax Revenue

Lynnwood received $509,744 in hotel/motel tax in 2011, up 8% compared to 2010.  This is an early indicator of the return of leisure and business travel to the area.  Lynnwood received more lodging tax than any other Snohomish County city.  Everett, with $284,541annual receipts, is the second largest collector followed by Bothell with $205,190 and Mukilteo with $173,802.

Hotel Occupancy Rates

2011 hotel occupancy in Lynnwood was 69.4, 5.1 points higher than the rest of Snohomish County and 3.5% greater than in 2010. 

Compared to other Washington State counties, Snohomish County is second to King County, the highest of all the counties, at 69.4% occupancy in 2011.

Average Daily Rate (ADR) and Revenue per Available Room (RevPAR)

The City of Lynnwood hotel ADR in 2011 was $95.44 a 4.4% increase from 2010.  The remainder of the Snohomish County had an ADR of $64.30.

The RevPAR in Lynnwood increased 8 percent from 2010 to $66.25.  In the remainder of the County, RevPAR in 2010 increased 10% to $52.80.

The Lynnwood ADR and RevPAR were higher than countywide figures in 2010 in keeping with historical trends.
